Great Things Start Small

The Wonder Station was  a Pop Up Prototype—and here’s what that means:

• Pop Up: A pop up is a temporary exhibit. Ours was only open for a short time—September 12–14th 2025—before it disappeared.

• Prototype: A prototype is the very first usable version of an idea. Families were able to explore, play, and interact with our exhibits, keeping in mind—it’s not the finished product. Some things did not work perfectly, and that’s part of the process!

Our goal with this Pop Up Prototype was to test a big idea in the real world. By visiting, filling out surveys, and sharing your honest feedback, you help us discover whether the Wonder Station could grow into a permanent children’s museum in Westminster, Maryland.

This stage is about learning, dreaming, and refining. After the prototype, our next step is to meet with investors who can help fund a fully built-out museum—complete with exhibits, staff, and a long-term home.
